This place have rooms “everyone” or “groups of people” could use if your up to their standards. When I mean standards I’m not talking about their rules you listen too. What I mean is if you actually like wellness center go to relax or get medical supplies YEA BUD WRONG PLACE…only nice thing about this place is it have a clean restroom

I don't think their staff are trained to do the jobs that they are supposed to do. Their staff make assumptions based on their new policies with out asking questions to see if a new sign up is eligible or not. i told them I was. Even after I already signed up months prior and was given a tour of the place by the same people, I was told that's are new policy sorry about that. Which leads to potential discrimination, and the director is not helpful either when you try to get a remedy for a certain policy that is a conflict. Didn't ask questions , offer accommodation or ask more about it, didn't ask if i had signed up, or would like to. Just flat. No number or name given to a higher up to discuss the policy further since they didn't have much to say, i figured talking to someone else might resolve my questions. Sent right out the door with no service. E for effort- fail for training . i called later for greater clarification and too see if they were still going to discriminate, and they were willing to accommodate. i dont want to visit a place that already did that kind of service though.. They seem helpful to the community and are serving people , just not me for the time being

I'm editing my Prior Five Star Review from a couple of years back: Nice Safe Space, Good Friendly People, often a FREE Lunch. Ping-Pong, Scrabble, books, music room, art room, computers. Great Resource in the Community. Now: There are New Directors and New Policies that Basically Exclude People In The Neighborhood! If you're in Livermore, Two Hours Away by BART, you might be able to pass their bar, after jumping through yet more hoops and obey their new structured transactional rules. But if you're like me, just down the road in El Cerrito, less than 20 minutes away, No Dice! It's Ridiculous, and they're actually cutting there nose to spite their face: Not Serving The Community, which can cross county lines as Berkeley is on the Edge of Alameda County. Heck, to get there, although I start at the Edge of Contra Costa County, Bordering Alameda County, I Ride Alameda County Transit! Yet I'm automatically shown the door. And guess who loses? Berkeley Wellness Center! I'm an Asset! A Morale Officer of sorts! I had been looking forward to Volunteering down the road! Clearly not now. Get your act together BWN and Bonita House! Clean Up the New Directors and Rules, get back to basics and

I went to this center with my program today and the building is cool with the nice staff event the receptionist Debbie me and the group of the place which was cool. They had a kitchen with fully prepared meals in the refrigerator and an area where the people could play chess and ping pong 🏓 which I had played with the staff member. They had an art room where I can draw. They had a quiet room and an area where you can surf the 🛜.It was a cool exprience and I hoped to comeback soon.

This place is a life saver. Support groups, music therapy, art therapy, writing group, and more. I've been going almost daily for a few weeks and it's very meaningful to me.
